$1 million is the new $500,000

More than 200 people rushed to inspect 333 Wishart Road, Wishart this past week after the property came to market on October 3 resulting in 25 offers and under offer in 10 days.

Selling agent, Brad Sissons of Coronis Coorparoo said the 4 bed, 2 bath, 2 car 600sqm property with a pool attracted 47 groups through on Wednesday night followed by 52 groups on Saturday.

“The interest in Wishart Road is unprecedented, and really proves the market has not cooled down due to Covid19,” Mr Sissons said. We had allocated 30 minutes for both of the open homes and ended up being there for more than 90 minutes just to get everyone through safely.

“If anything, the demand for this home has dramatically increased due to Covid19, with the majority of buyers attracted to its multiple living rooms, separate home office and large pool coming into Summer.

“The family home which was built just 10 years ago by the current sellers is located within the highly coveted Mansfield State High and Wishart Primary School catchment zones which adds to the appeal. This is the ultimate family entertainer so to be able to send your children to either of these schools is an added drawcard.

“The feedback I have received from the majority of buyers is that they all need to upsize their home and they’re willing to pay for it. Between historically low interest rates and a shortage of listings available on the market, buyer’s budgets have significantly increased and $1 million is becoming the new $500,000 in Brisbane.

“The medium price for a 4-bedroom house in Wishart is $788,000 according to realestate.com.au so it’s evident with 25 offers in the million-dollar price range, buyers are desperate to purchase and there is a lot of competition for the right property.”
