Alexandra Porter named in Australia's Top 100 by SQM Research
Coronis Aspley’s Sales Manager, Alexandra Porter, has been named in the Top 100 residential agents in Australia by SQM Research.
Reported by the Australian Financial Review, the inaugural list of Australia’s Top 100 Residential Real Estate Agents in 2018 was based on five different measurements of agent performance including agent’s listing market share, number of sales, sales conversion rates, total dollar value sold and days on market.
Of the 53,650 Australian real estate agents who advertised a property in 2018 under their name, only 13,298 made the shortlist because they made at least 10 or more sales in the preceding 12 months.
Ms Porter, who was ranked #50, said she was delighted to be named in the Top 100 list, for the 2017/2018 Financial Year.
“I am really proud to be named in the inaugural list by SQM Research, especially as only 30% of the list consists of women and there’s only 15 agents from Queensland named,” Ms Porter said.
“You can’t apply to be considered in this list as it’s conducted by an independent research house so I’m really honoured to have been included.
“I’ve been selling real estate for almost 13 years now on Brisbane’s north side so it’s always nice to see your hard work, commitment and dedication to your profession be recognised.
“I think to be successful in this industry, everything you do needs to come back to customer service so clearly and consistently communicating with all your buyers and sellers on a daily basis.”
SQM Research chief executive Louis Christopher said while other lists mainly focus on which agents sell the most property in dollar value, this Top 100 list was created to focus on vendors' needs and is more about how quickly agents can sell properties, as well as their relative market share.
“We have attempted to be balanced to agents who do not work in the big cities, by including additional information such as relative market share," Mr Christopher said.
"Ultimately, home sellers are looking for agents who can sell property quickly at as close to the vendor's asking price as possible in an honest and transparent fashion.”
Coronis Managing Director, Andrew Coronis, said he was extremely proud of Alexandra and everything she had achieved over the past 24 months.
“To be ranked #50 out of 53,650 agents in Australia is a phenomenal achievement, yet alone to be named in the Top 100,” Mr Coronis said.
“Alexandra is a credit to our team, her sellers and buyers. I have watched her flourish over the years since she joined us in 2006 as a 21-year-old and she is the epitome of a high performing agent.
“Congratulations Alexandra, you well and truly deserve this recognition.”
The average days on market for the Top 100 agents was 35 days.
Their average sales conversion rate was 73.4 per cent
Their average number of sales was 63.
The average dollar value of an agent’s combined sales was $59.1M.
