Coronis was the only Queensland property business to win a major award at the third annual Real Estate Business Awards, taking out Major Independent of the Year.

The Award recognises Coronis as the most effective independent property business in driving residential sales growth during 2014 and utilising a range of business development principles and tactics in Australia.

Coronis has grown to become a formidable player in the South East Queensland real estate market, with the family-owned business offering an end-to-end service across 22 offices located throughout Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Toowoomba.

Managing Director Andrew Coronis was elated about the Award and said it was validation for the business, and the service that the team offers Coronis clients on a daily basis.

“I am extremely proud of this award,” Mr Coronis said. “It is a strong affirmation that we are on the right track offering our clients an end-to-end service including sales and property management, but also auxiliary services such as Mortgage Brokering, Conveyancing, Wills and Estate Planning and Building and Pest.

“Our business continues to grow day by day thanks to our motivated team and I’m excited to announce we are on the eve of opening up two new offices in Brisbane and on the Sunshine Coast to better service more suburbs and clients with an all-encompassing product.”

Theo Coronis, the founder of Coronis (originally named Richardson & Wrench and later Coronis Realty) was extremely proud of the award and rendered speechless.

“Words cannot reflect my feelings at this moment,” Mr Coronis Snr said.  “From a "hole in the wall" at downtown Stafford in 1984 to Major Independent of the Year nationally has been a journey full of both joy and heartaches for all who have contributed.

“We have travelled through both green pastures and dry gullies to get to the top of the tree and to reach this pinnacle required everyone to make a significant contribution.

“My heartfelt thanks go to the entire Coronis team for making this dream a reality.”

Coronis eclipsed three other respected finalists to win the award including Sydney-based Morton Real Estate Agency, Melbourne-based Allens Real Estate and fellow Queensland-based Place Estate Agents.
