Coronis takes customer service to a new level
South East Queensland-based real estate business, Coronis, took customer service to a new level yesterday when they surprised two of their tenants with almost $1000 worth of electrical goods.
During the fierce storm that wreaked havoc on the Sunshine Coast two weeks ago, Pawan Kumar and his wife Mamta Mamta’s roof was ripped off their rental unit in Mooloolaba.
While no one was injured, the majority of their possessions were unsalvageable and without insurance, they weren’t left with much.
Their property managers from Coronis Mooloolaba, Megan Springall and Chelsea Howard, recognised the mangled unit on the news the following morning and quickly rushed to rehome the Kumar’s in less than 12 hours, however they knew they could do more to help.
“Coronis is a family run business with 21 offices across the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Toowoomba and Brisbane with more than 300 employees, so we have a big network that we can call on when we need a favour,” Mrs Springall said.
“So I forwarded the Channel 7 news story to Coronis HQ in Brisbane to see what else we could do and the next minute several people were calling me to see what items the Kumar’s needed.”
Since the storm, Coronis has organised for all of the Kumar’s electrical goods to be tested, their mattresses dry cleaned and yesterday, surprised them with a new washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, heater, blender and iron which they purchased with the help of Joyce Mayne Chancellor Park.
Coronis Property Management Director Jodi Ford said she was very proud of how Megan and Chelsea rushed to rehome their tenants and organise the funds to replace some essential items.
“These two ladies are incredible,” Mrs Ford said. “They truly embody Coronis’ family values and always go above and beyond to help their clients.
“When we saw the devastation on the news, it wasn’t a question of if we could help, but rather how, so I’m glad we could put a smile on the Kumar’s faces and help them on their journey to rebuild their home.”
Mr Kumar said he was very grateful for the support his family had received during the past two weeks, especially from Coronis, Joyce Mayne and St Vincent de Paul.
“Being from overseas, I never imagined people would want to help us the way they have,” he said. “It has been a good experience; I feel very lucky that I might even buy a lotto ticket.”
