The Coronis Group was among Australia’s top female real estate professionals and businesses crowned last night at the REB Women in Real Estate Awards 2019 in Sydney.

Coronis Chief Operating Officer (COO), Karuna Dimelow, said she was very proud to accept the Diversity Major Independent of the Year Award on behalf of the South East Queensland real estate company.

“When I stepped into the COO role at Coronis in November 2017, I really wanted to use my position to encourage more women to get into this rewarding industry and create a better lifestyle and personal wealth for them and their families,” Ms Dimelow said.

“The Coronis leadership team has provided me and my family with so many opportunities throughout my career and helped me grow from an agent with no experience to the company’s first COO, which is just one example of the many success stories within our business.

“To be recognised nationally for our commitment to gender diversity and providing all the women in our business with career progression opportunities is truly special and testament to our company vision and core values.

“It’s a personal goal for me to increase the number of women specifically in our sales team so hopefully winning this award means we’re implementing the right initiatives and creating the ideal, supportive work environment that more women want to work in.”

REB editor Tim Neary said that the REB Women in Real Estate Awards is an important new initiative.

“The awards provide a platform for women in the industry to showcase their talents and be role models for others,” Mr Neary said.

“It is a great way to recognise the industry’s high-performance female agents, property managers, BDMs and businesses.”

Mr Neary said there had been huge interest in the awards.

“The interest in these inaugural awards has been encouraging, with the avalanche of submissions setting a terrific precedent for the future of these awards across all of the categories.

“From national networks to individual agents, the REB Women in Real Estate Awards 2019 recognises excellence in real estate across the nation, and I’d like to congratulate all winners and finalists on their achievements.”
