The number for houses on the market has surged this Spring, with first home buyers and investors emerge from hibernation.

New research from CoreLogic reveals new listings are up 11.9 per cent in Brisbane, 2.8 per cent higher than it was Spring last year.

Middle Park took out the top spot for house listings, with a rise of more than 30 per cent in the last 12 months.

Fairfield and Strathpine proved the unit market is bouncing back with a 60 – 90 per cent rise in unit listings during the same period.

With buyers out in force to find their new home before Christmas, sellers need to ensure their property makes an outstanding first impression so that it stands out from the high number of listings.
