Strong Demand in SEQ From Interstate Buyers

The South-East Queensland market is gaining momentum from southern buyers.

Thirty per cent of sales in the past year were due to interstate buyers, with a large fraction of them being retirees particularly from NSW and Victoria. These buyers are drawn to the fact that they can trade their southern address for a more affordable lifestyle and warmer climates in Queensland.

Recently the national population growth rate has been recorded at 1.6 per cent, but Queensland's has exceeded that at 1.8 per cent. It is the state with the largest net interstate migration accounting for 23,800 new residents.
