Buyers have been staying active in the property market despite not being able to attend inspections due to COVID-19 limitations.

Since the government imposed restrictions on hosting open homes in late March, the market pivoted to virtual options including RealEstate.com.au and new data from the online platform has shown an uptick in buyer activity.

Compared to the start of the month of April, early May showed a 132 per cent increase in property video views, and an astounding 486 per cent increase in 3D tours, which is an in interesting reflection of how the market had adapted. However, the most notable statistic that reflects the strong buyer demand is the increase in searches by 57 per cent in comparison to the same time last year. As a result, enquiries per listing also increased 113 per cent.
